Network & Systems Engineer

On behalf of our client, an international, well-established and award-winning technology company that provides unique solutions for the retail, accommodation and tourism industry on a global scale, we are looking for a Network & Systems Engineer to join their vibrant team of engineers.

A Day in the Life of a Network & Systems Engineer

Your role will blend technical problem-solving, hands-on infrastructure management, and support for users across the organization. You’ll ensure the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure by proactively monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and providing essential technical assistance.

Your day-to-day

• Contributing to the smooth operation of the overall IT infrastructure (servers, network, storage) by proactive monitoring and troubleshooting
• Providing technical assistance to users, helping resolve issues quickly and effectively
• Troubleshooting and determining the best solutions for each issue that arises, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption
• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, and networks to ensure seamless functionality
• Providing technical support for software systems and applications, addressing any bugs or malfunctions
• Monitoring network and system operations to ensure optimal performance and security
• Performing scheduled maintenance, updates, and upgrades to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure

What you will need

• A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 1-2 years of relevant technical experience
• Fluency in Greek and English (both written and verbal)
• Up-to-date technical knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
• Understanding of virtualization technologies
• Knowledge of Windows Servers, including DNS, Active Directory, and DHCP
• Experience supporting LAN and WAN technologies, including switches, firewalls, and routers
• Knowledge of Windows clients and servers
• Experience with backup and restoring systems
