Senior IT Project/Program Manager

 

Location: Thessaloniki, Greece

 

On behalf of our client, a fast-growing international group of resorts in hospitality sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join their IT Project Management Office (PMO).

 

 

A day in the life of Senior IT Project/Program Manager

 

As Senior IT Project/Program Manager you are part of IT Project Management Office (PMO) and you lead important projects across the group. In this role, you’ll work closely with different departments like Operations, Sales, Marketing, HR, and Finance to deliver successful IT and business solutions.

 

Your day-to-day

 

  • Lead and manage multiple IT and business projects from start to finish, using structured waterfall project management methods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align resources, manage dependencies, and track progress.
  • Produce and maintain project documents (e.g., project charters, plans, status reports, risk logs).
  • Identify project risks early, create solutions, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and serve as the main point of contact for business users and external vendors.
  • Coordinate training and ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all project-related matters.
  • Track project budgets and manage financials effectively.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party vendors, including software customizations.
  • Report progress, milestones, and project outcomes to stakeholders.

 

What you will need

 

  • 7+ years of experience in managing full lifecycle projects, particularly with waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience in program management and handling multiple projects at once is a big plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certification in project management (PM², PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) is preferred.
  • Strong experience with project management tools and team collaboration software.
  • Fluent in English and Greek.
  • Ability to work with international and multicultural teams.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Experience in the hospitality or customer-facing industries is a bonus but not required.
