On behalf of our client, a young, dynamic and growing marine transportation company, we are currently looking for a self-driven Application Support Administrator, to join their team.


A day in the life of the Application Support Administrator.


As an Application Support Administrator you will develop an understanding of the various systems and internal workflows, and work in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders to manage and resolve application issues.


Your day-to-day


• Create, configure, administer and provide the necessary assistance to support IT system applications. 

• Provide guidance and training to end-users. 

• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for reporting purposes. 

• Provide the 1st level of diagnostics or evaluation to troubleshoot issues. 

• Communicate with our IT system vendors to work out a viable solution to resolve complex issues. 

• Create, maintain or compile documents such as user manuals, specification decks or documents.

 

 What you will need

 

• At least a diploma in Business IT or its equivalent.

• 3 years’ relevant experience in the management of system applications with a good understanding of system functionality, preferably from a shipping company.

• Experience in using EPR system and voyage management system such as Softmar is a big plus.

• Ability to acquire knowledge of the business and present issues accurately.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, follow-up and problem-solving skills.

• An independent and team player who is inquisitive, self-motivated and willing to share knowledge.

• Excellent command in English language, both written and spoken is essential. Work with customers and product/project manager to improve software
